THEME Not every bride want a theme for their wedding but choosing the right decor and colors is very important. What are your favorite colors? Keep in mind choosing the right colors is key. Keep your color pallete classy and elegant and nothing too garish. TACKY!! is a no no.
BUDGET Determine how much you would want to spend on the wedding. Staying within budget is crucial because you don't want to be in debt and drained fianacially after the nuptials.....
WEDDING PARTY Decide who you want as a Maid of honor. Make sure the person you chose is reliable and can support you throught the planning. Ususally the norm is to chose a sister or a family member, but a close friend can equally perform such duties. Decide also who is going to be part of the Bridesmaid party.
GUEST LIST Which friends and family do you want to share your wedding with. Becareful with how many people you invite to your wedding because the larger the guest, the bigger your budget . The number also depends whether you want an intimate wedding(few quest) or a big wedding.
HIRE A PLANNER Planning a wedding can be overwhelming especially without exprience. Decide if you want to relinquish that burden to a professional.
VENUE Decided where you want your ceremony and reserve it. Whether it in a church, on the beach, or a destination wedding. Consider if you want the wedding and resception in the same venue putting into consideration distance.
OTHER TEAM Be sure to book the person to officiate the wedding. If it in church, then, inform the Minister with enough notice so your ceremony can be included in the church's calender, Search and book the photographer for the ceremony. Decide on flowers and catering service by visiting and testing some ideas.
HEN'S NIGHT If you want to celebrate the end of your bachelorette days, you can throw a party and celebrate with friends. Usually it friends and family that organises such party.

MONTHS BEFORE THE WEDDING.
DRESS SHOPPING Before the dress shopping,make sure to have collected and search bridal magazines for ideas. Decide on silhouette,whether it a princess ball gown, couture gowns, mermaid, A-line etc.. If you have favourite Bridal designers, be sure to check some of their new collections. Remember to make the appointment several months before the fitting.
WEDDING REGISTRY For gifts, you can register with your favourite store and send the registry details to your quests.
ENTERTAINMENT By now you should start looking for DJ'S, videographers and contact the photographer with your itinerary. Be advised to insist they follow through with the time and date of the wedding.
ACCOMMODATION This is crucial especially if you have quests coming out of town. If there are hotels close to the venue, reserve rooms depending on the number of out of town quests.
TRANSPORTATION Reserve and book your means of trasnport for the wedding. From limos, buses etc...
INVITATION You can design the invitation cards or buy them. Regardless of the source, be sure to include your name and that of your fiance. Cover photo(you can have the photos taken professionally), the ceremony date, time, venue. You can also include any personal messages and ideas.
HONEYMOON Where do you want to go for your honeymoon? You will be spoiled with choices. From Mexico, Africa, Italy, France, Greece, Hawaii, Vegas...Make sure all documents are up to date so to avoid delays.Check the travelling requirement of the country youare visiting especially for medicals and get all the tests and shots done prior to the honeymoon.
CAKE TASTING When it comes to your wedding cake, getting the right flavors is important. Visit several bakeries and would also recommend checking on reviews as an insight. You can go with your fiance, mother, members of the family, members of the bridal party. The reason is you might need a second opinion on choosing the right cake.
HAIR &MAKEUP Visit few beauty places for consultation and try out. Make up for the wedding should be minimal, fresh and complementary to your skin tone.Nothing too over the top scary...
MUSIC Compile personal favorite music that you want to include in the ceremony. From the prossessional music, hymns to recessional music. Decide also on the music you want to be played at the wedding the reception.
BRIDAL PARTY FITTING No more dowdy, boring bridesmaid dresses. Select few bridal places to have your bridesmaid fitting.
WEDDING FAVORS Wedding favors can be DIY projects for you to do. Depending on the favors, you can make or buy them.
